GOSS NGO was involved in the adoption of the Sixth Assessment Report (AR6) of the IPCC. Therefore, the IPCC decided to include a special report on "Climate Change and Cities" in the seventh evaluation cycle in paragraph 6 of the "Products and Special Reports" section of this report.
To develop the scope and overview of this special report on "Climate Change and Cities", 100 experts were selected from a total of 1300 experts from around the world, scientists, researchers, international organizations, and governmental and non-governmental organizations. The GOSS NGO is participating in this activity and participated in the pre-scoping webinar of the special report "Climate Change and Cities" and submitted our proposals and initiatives.
The Climate Change and Cities scoping meeting will result in a draft Scoping Paper. The 61st session of the IPCC will review the draft Scoping Paper.
